Security & granular permissions
- Per-user permissions: set exactly what each team member can create, edit, or delete across jobs, quotes, billing, purchasing, clients and more — enforced in the database, not just hidden in the screen.
- Tri-state role and staff permission editors: start from a role default, then allow or deny individual actions person by person.
- Configurable portal visibility: control what your customers, subcontractors, and field engineers each see — per company, per customer, or per job.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) with any authenticator app, prompted at every sign-in once enabled.
Sharper purchasing & billing visibility
- Billing variance now distinguishes on-PO invoicing from off-PO invoicing, so you can see exactly where uncommitted spend is coming from.
- Bulk CSV upload for the Parts & Materials catalogue — bring an entire supplier price file in at once, with duplicate detection.
- Negotiated discounts on quotes and jobs: apply and track client-specific discounts without editing line items by hand.
Progress invoicing & 3-way matching, deepened
- Deposit collection and drawdown on progress invoicing — take a deposit up front and draw it down across applications automatically.
- Progress claim breakdowns now appear on invoice PDFs, so main contractors see exactly what each application covers.
- Server-side enforcement of 3-way match rules: supplier invoices that don’t match PO and receipt get flagged before they hit your costs.
- Company-wide Leave tab: see the whole team’s holidays alongside the job schedule.
Quoting & invoicing quality-of-life
- Quote PDFs can now show selected assumptions and optional add-ons, and display line totals without a full breakdown when you prefer a cleaner document.
- Manual build flow for quotes: start from a blank quote and build line by line when AI isn’t the right tool for the job.
- Invoice-level "VAT (all lines)" control plus a per-line VAT rate selector — mixed-rate invoices without spreadsheet gymnastics.
- Customer-facing invoice presentation refresh and more reliable invoice sending.
Costs that tell the truth
- Matched supplier-bill costs now post straight to job actuals with a live margin view — estimated vs actual, per job, in real time.
- Applications for payment show % billed-to-date and the amount left to bill.
- Native enquiry and contact-support forms — reach us without leaving the app.
