Set up the salting contract
Build a salting contract in Contracts covering every site you grit for that client. Add or remove sites at any point in the season from the contract’s Contract Sites panel. No need to rebuild the contract when a client’s premises change.

Assign each site to an ice-prediction zone
Every contracted site sits in one of your company’s ice-prediction zones. Zones can be batch-applied when sites are added, and changed individually when a site moves. The reading is taken per zone, and each site is judged against it by its own or its contract’s trigger where one is set.

Upload the forecast, confirm the readings, generate the run
Upload the nightly OpenSite 24-hour road-weather forecast PDF and Gemini reads it, extracting a temperature reading and worst colour-state for every zone. A confirmation screen shows exactly what it picked up for you to check or correct. No reading is applied until you confirm. One tap then generates a gritting job for every site that triggers on those readings, keyed to the operational night rather than the calendar date so work after midnight lands on the right night’s run.

Dispatch, treat, and prove it
Engineers see today’s gritting jobs in the field app, with a geofenced arrival check against each site. Deciding a site does not need treating is recorded too, with the reading behind that decision, so a night with zero visits is still a night with evidence. A completed visit (or a full period of them) turns into a proof-of-service pack you can send straight to the client.
