Know exactly who is qualified — and what expires next month
A live training matrix shows every engineer against every course, certification, and accreditation, colour-coded by status. Set what each role and trade must hold, and Field Forge flags who is missing a qualification and whose certificate is about to expire.

The problem it solves
Certificates expire without warning
A gas registration or 18th Edition quietly lapses, nobody notices, and you find out when a client or auditor asks. Tracking renewal dates in a spreadsheet means someone has to remember to look.
You cannot prove who is competent
When a main contractor or auditor wants evidence that the engineer on site holds the right ticket, the certificates are in an inbox, a filing cabinet, or someone’s phone — not in one place you can show.
Gaps in mandatory training go unseen
Different roles and trades need different tickets. Without a single view of who must hold what, it is easy to send someone to a job they are not certified for.
How it works
- 1
Build your course and accreditation catalogue
Add the certifications, accreditations, skills, and compliance items your team needs. Mark which are formal accreditations that expire, set a validity window in months, and choose the roles and trades each one is mandatory for.
- 2
Record who holds what — and verify it
Each person’s status on each course is a cell in the matrix. An engineer can acknowledge their own training and upload the certificate; a manager or assessor then verifies it, so a held qualification is signed off rather than self-declared. Expiry comes from the certificate date or is calculated from the validity window.
- 3
See status at a glance and plan renewals
The matrix colour-codes every cell — held, expiring soon, expired, awaiting verification, in progress, or missing where it is required. Certificates within 30 days of expiry are flagged, and scheduled training sessions sit on a training calendar you can push onto the main job scheduler.
